The ship covers the regular route from China to the Northern Adriatic, it has a length of 294 meters, width of 32 meters and it can reach a speed up to 24.3 knots.

It was built in 2006 and it belongs to the latest generation of container ships, the “L” series.

The regular line China-Northern Adriatic is being covered by seven ships of the company Evergreen Marine from Taiwan, one of the four largest international container and operator companies.

Besides the “Ital Laguna”, two additional ships from the “L” series will be covering the same line – “Ital Lirica” and “Ital Libera”, as well as four ships from the “M” series which have a capacity up to 4363 containers.

The route from China to the Northern Adriatic was introduced towards the end of 2003 with seven container ships which had capacities from 2500 up to 2700 containers.

The ship carrier has made a decision to intensify that line with container ships of higher capacity and with new amounts of cargo, which the Rijeka Port took as a good sign and for that the port is planning to undertake a modernization of the terminal and to build new capacities.
