Mobile networks 2009th with more minutes and spent less SMS's, use of fixed networks decline

In the Croatian mobile (cellular) networks last year spent nearly 6 billion minutes, or 6 percent more than the year before, while the fixed (fixed) networks continued decline in minutes spent, and by 6.8 percent, with 5.18 billion minutes, the data of the Croatian Central Bureau of Statistics.

In the contrast to the increase in minutes spent in the mobile network last year and noted the reduction of sending SMS and MMS messages than on 2008.

In doing so sent a text message this was 3.5 billion or 8 percent less, which is actually for the first time that on-year use of their numbers decline  that since they offered their first service here.

An even larger decline, from 13.8 percent to 802 million of the SMS's had in the last fourth quarter of last year, compared to the same period 2008th.

MMS messages, them with 5.5 million, throughout the last year there were about 24 million, or 45 percent less, but they are in the last quarter increased by 3.3 percent over the same quarter 2008.

With respect to spent a minute in mobile (cellular) networks, the Central Bureau data show that the total 6 billion minutes, or most of the 5.89 billion minutes were spent in the internal traffic, as compared to the 2008th increase of 6.3 percent.

The remaining 103 million minutes spent in international traffic, which continued to decline and consumption by 6.4 percent.

The fixed networks decline minutes spent last year was recorded in the internal and international traffic. Of the total fixed 5.18 billion spent most of the minutes, or 4.88 billion related to internal traffic, which is a decrease of 6 percent. In international trade is that the fall was 17.6 percent with 300 million spent those minutes.
