Minister Kalmeta opened a new general medicine infirmary on Silba

Silba, June 13 2011. - Minister Bozidar Kalmeta on a tour of the island's newly built clinic in the company of Zvonimir Vrancic, mayor of the Zadar, Stipe Zrilic, Zadar County prefect, PM's Ana Lovrin and Nevenka Marinovic, and the representatives of the local government and many residents of the Silba island

Minister of the Sea, Transport and Infrastructure BOZIDAR KALMETA opened a general medicine infirmary on the Silba island, for which construction have been provided 1.5 million HRK by the Ministry trough the Project of construction of the utilities and social infrastructure on the islands - CEB IV.

Zadar County  allocated 600.000 HRK for the project whose total cost is 3 million HRK, and the Ministry of Health and Social Welfare allocated the 666.000 HRK.

Minister Kalmeta stressed the importance of building a general medicine infirmary for the island, and announced a new project of the European Investment Bank worth fifty million euro, which would for each island secure the realization of the two large projects in the public utilities and social infrastructure.

Mayor of Zadar Zvonimir Vrancic, added that they are trying by the realization of this project to prove a big concern of the Croatian islands, no matter how they were away.

The project of this facility which has an area of 117.05 square meters was made by a company 'APZ-engineering' from Zagreb, while the construction work carried out the 'Lavdara' company from Zadar, and supervision was entrusted to the Institute IGH from Zagreb.

Construction work on the general medicine infirmary lasted from 20 May last year, and was completed in March this year, when was approved the issuance of building use permit.

The opening ceremony was attended by Minister Kalmeta, Zadar Mayor Vrancic, State secretary for the Island and coastal development Josip Boric, Zadar County Prefect Stipe Zrilic, MPs Ana Lovrin and Nevenka Marinovic and other state and local officials and many residents of the island.
