Luka Rijeka company reports increase in profit in H1

Luka Rijeka d.d. company, which specialises in transshipment and storage, ended the first half of this year with post-tax net profits amounting to HRK 4.29 million, which is almost three percent more than in the same period of last year, the company said in a financial report published by the Zagreb Stock Exchange on Tuesday.

The company's pre-tax profit amounted to HRK 4.31 million or 3.16 percent mote than last year. More than 99 percent of the company's six-month revenue, amounting to HRK 133.07 million, was operating revenue, which was 25.2 percent higher than in the first half of last year.

Sixty-two percent of the revenue was generated on foreign markets and the rest was generated on the domestic market.

Expenses went up by 27 percent to HRK 128.76 milliom, of which operating costs amounted to 122.09 million, a 24.7 percent increase.

The company management reported that almost 3.05 million tonnes of cargo was transshipped in the port of Rijeka in the first six months of this year.

As for the company's liquidity, the report says that there are no problems with the collection of claims on foreign markets, but that the situation is somewhat difficult on the domestic market.
