Government: Agreement on the Project of the construction of the bridge across the Sava river

The Croatian government launched today the procedure for concluding an Agreement with the Government of the Bosnia and Herzegovina on the Project of the construction of the interstate bridge over the Sava river, at the Svilaj, on the Corridor Vc, which conncets Budapest over Slavonia trough the Bosnia to the Port of Ploce.

Approximate price of the building the bridge is 300 million HRK, and Croatia and Bosnia in the financing of the Project will be involved in the same proportion (50:50).

Minister of Sea, Transport and Infrastructure Bozidar Kalmeta stressed out the importance of this bridge in the way of the completion the main Project of the highway on the Pan-European Corridor Vc (Budapest-Osijek-Sarajevo-Ploce).

The Agreement is governing the construction of the highway's connecting roads on the section of the Corridor Vc at the border area between Croatia and BiH, and the bridge, in length of 660 meters, is the most important object in the section 'Sredanci-Osijek'.

According to the Agreement, the bridge should be built until the end of the 2012.
