Dubrovnik-Neretva County: for the road construction works up to 730 million HRK

Investment in the road infrastructure in the area of Dubrovnik-Neretva County in this year will amount up to 730 million kuna, of which 530 million HRK relates to the construction of the highways, are the datas that expressed MP Branko Bacic and CEO of HC (Croatian Roads) Jakov Kresic today in Dubrovnik at the press conference.

Bacic said that works on the Zagreb-Dubrovnik will not be stopped but will continue at full intensity.

No stopping works towards Ploce, the next week should continue the works from Ravca to Vrgorac, and in the next 15 days are expected works on the construction of the road from Vrgorac to Ploce, he said.

From a total of 530 million HRK, as the largest part, is provided for the construction of highways in the Dubrovnik-Neretva County,and amount of the 520 million HRK is applicable to full-profile highway Ravca-Ploce, while the remaining 10 million HRK, as stated, are planned to invest in the completion of documentation for the construction of section Osojnik-Doli.

I believe that the road partition to Vrgorac will be completed by season 2011, and the road partiton of the Ploce is going to be realised by the season 2012 Bacic said, adding that the continued construction of the highway to Dubrovnik took place in two parts, a section Ploce-Cvor and Peljesac-Osojnik-Doli.

Croatian Roads CEO Jakov Kresic said that the Company this year in the southernest county of Croatia is about to invest 200 million HRK, of which half are related to the continued construction of Peljesac Bridge.

Works are continuing and we expect that in the coming years is likely that the intensity and the increase, he said.

Kresic was announced for the fall beginning of work on 16 km long section of state road Cilipi-Debeli brijeg, and in this road infrastrusture partition HC will invest around 60 million HRK.
