Croatia's airspace remains opened with no restrictions, the Croatian agency for air navigation safety (Croatia Control) reported on Monday morning.

The Croatian agency made the decision on keeping Croatia's airspace open to traffic on the basis of data collected after 0800 hrs Monday.

The agency will closely follow the developments in light of the changeability of the situation, and provide latest updates of its decisions accordingly, the agency's spokeswoman, Olivera Ilijas said on Monday morning.

Most of Europe's airspace will remain closed on Monday because of a huge cloud of ash from an Icelandic volcano, international news agencies reported on Monday morning.

The restrictions in most of Europe's airspace have been in place since Wednesday after the Icelandic volcano begun erupting.
