In 2006, the head of the inspection department of the Croatian Ministry of Tourism, Tatjana Krilić, will chair the Flag State Implementation (FSI) Subcommittee of the International Maritime Organization (IMO).

Krilić was elected chairperson of the FSI Subcommittee at a session held in London on 5-9 June.

This is the first time Croatia is chairing the FSI Subcommittee, a working body of the IMO in charge of developing, maintaining and promoting mechanisms for the implementation of IMO regulations on navigation safety and protection of the maritime environment.
