Croatian and Serbian officials agreed on Tuesday that the two countries would guarantee the issuance of temporary licences for their respective airline companies until the conclusion of a bilateral air traffic agreement.

After a meeting in Belgrade, Serbian Infrastructure Ministry state secretary Miodrag Miljkovic told the press that regular flights between Serbia and Croatia would be based on business interests. He added that air carriers would decide by themselves which services would be operated and would then ask the air authorities of the other country for necessary licences.

Participants in today's meeting also agreed that it was necessary to immediately launch procedure for concluding a bilateral agreement on air transport in accordance with the agreement on the single European airspace, which has been ratified by both sides.
