Croatia Airlines made 21.07 million kuna of net profit in this year's first six month, while the company's net profit in the same period the year before amounted to 44.86 million kuna, according to the Croatia Airlines business report published by the Zagreb Stock Exchange.

The 47 percent lower profit is the result of increased expenses, which occurred mostly due to increased gas prices, Croatia Airlines said.

The company's total income in this year's first six months amounted 733.28 million kuna or 0.43 percent more than in the same period the year before.
