Capa Koromačno: Slovakian Motorship Afloated
After a few days of attempting to refloat the merchant motorship Falak – G, the ship was finally moved away from cape Koromačno, tonight around 11 p.m.
The refloating was successfully performed by employees of the Adriatic Maritime Service from Rijeka with help of three tugboats.
Any further polluting of the sea was prevented in time. After its refloating, the Falak – G was hauled to the shipyard "Viktor Lenac" for repair work.
The merchant ship Falak – G belongs to the Greek company "Sea Crystal Navigation" and is operating under Slovakian flag. The 77 meter long ship has a carrying capacity of 2 473 tones. It stranded at cape Koromačno on 23 January, without anyone of the crew getting hurt.
