International Information Technology, Telecommunications and New Media Fair - INFO

In the period from 8-12 November, the Zagreb Fair will host three international specialized fair events. One of those events will be the 37th International INFO Fair under the aegis of the Ministry of the Sea, Tourism, Transport and Development and the Central State Administrative Office for e-Croatia. This event is expected to gather 270 exhibitors from 19 countries.

The first day of INFO 2005 will be dedicated to E-Government, which is an overview of the implementation of the Program e-Croatia 2007, as well as of projects directed towards the promotion of the public sector activities. The 2nd day of INFO, 9 November, is scheduled as the Telecommunications Day with the main topic - changes on the Croatian telecommunications service market.

The following day, 10 November, will be dedicated to the 8th Conference on Call Centers. The conference will be supported and co-organized by the Ministry of the Sea, Tourism, Transport and Development.

Also presented will be projects under the joint title Croatia on its way to an IT society, where the Ministry of the Sea, Tourism, Transport and Development will present the project for the check-in registration of crew members and passengers on vessels for renting (e-Crew), which is already in use from 8 April 2005.

INFO 2005 is the most important event and leading marketing platform for the dynamic and growing ICT branch in SE Europe. The total value of the new technologies market is estimated at $ 2.3 billion, 72% of which accounts for telecommunications and 28% for IT equipment and software. The expectations in 2005 are bigger and the analysts predict an ICT market growth of 10%, as compared to 2004.
